CANDY KISSES CHOCOLATE CAKE DATE

1 cup boiling water
1 cup dates, chopped
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 eggs, beaten
2 1 / 2 cups all-purpose flour
1 / 4 teaspoon salt
Sweet Kisses 40 chocolate
1 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Lightly grease a 10-inch pipe to one side.

Combine boiling water, dates and baking soda together and leave aside to cool.

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add the eggs and mix in the mix. Sift flour and salt, add alternately to the batter with date mixture. Pour half the mixture into the prepared pan pipe. Sprinkle half of nuts and half the candy kisses. Add remaining batter and top with remaining nuts and kisses. Bake for 1 hour at 325 degrees. Cool 15 minutes before removing from pan.

OOH LA-LA HOT FUDGE CAKE

sugar 1 1 / 4 cups granulated, divided
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 / 2 cup cocoa, divided
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 / 4 teaspoon salt
1 / 2 cup milk
1 / 3 cup melted butter
1 1 / 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 / 2 cup brown sugar
1 1 / 4 cups hot water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a medium bowl, mix 3 / 4 cup the granulated sugar, flour, 1 / 4 cup cocoa, baking powder and salt. Add milk, melted butter and vanilla, beat until smooth. Pour mixture square baking a 9-inch ungreased. Combine remaining granulated sugar, brown sugar and remaining cocoa. Sprinkle mixture evenly over butter mixture. Pour hot water over the top, but not stirred. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until center is almost set. Let stand 15 minutes before serving. Pour dessert dishes, making sure you get the bottom of the pan sauce and pour over the top. Garnish with whipped cream or ice cream topped with mini chocolate, if desired.
